Year 6 students had the opportunity to visit the Science Lab at the Senior School this week to dissect a heart as part of their exciting topic, ‘Blood Heart’. It was certainly a memorable experience; handling a lamb’s heart and making incisions to reveal the internal features. The girls were able to spot the major blood vessels, the four chambers and even feel the heart strings.
Lots of fun was had and they look forward to writing their non-chronological reports on the heart next.
