We are delighted that Geography trips are now back in force. Our first this term was taking Year 11 geographers to Stratford in East London last Friday.
The regeneration in Stratford continues at a rapid pace, and since our last visit in 2019, the International Quarter is now open for business. It was also interesting to learn about how they are designing sustainable urban spaces, which reduce the carbon footprint of the new developments. But whilst the regeneration is successfully transforming parts of Stratford, this ‘island of prosperity’ is not benefitting everyone equally, as the students discovered.
