Following the retirement of Mrs Jane Burton in August 2024, Mr Andrew Christie (currently Senior Deputy), has been appointed Head of Old Palace from 1st September. Mr Christie will lead the school through its last year before Old Palace closes in August 2025.
Mr Christie was raised in Aberdeen in Scotland before moving south of the border to read Classics at the University of Oxford. After completing his teacher training at the University of Cambridge, he started work at Norwich School before continuing his career at Rugby School, where he was the deputy housemaster of the largest boys’ boarding house. Before moving to Old Palace, he was an Assistant Head at Streatham & Clapham High School where he was responsible for extending the co-curricular activities on offer and implementing an award-winning partnerships programme.
Mrs Jodene Panteli (formerly Head of Prep) becomes Senior Deputy.
